    Death is not the absolute end. It is just the discontinuation of unity between the body and soul. It is a change from one state to another and a transition from this present life to that of the hereafter. “Allaah takes souls at the time of their death and [the souls] of those that do not die during their sleep. He retains those souls for which He has ordained death, whereas He releases the rest for an appointed term” [Qur'an 39:42] - ‘Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception’ {Qur’an 3:185}

Imam Abu ‘Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Abu Bakr al-Ansari al-Qurtubi, was born in Cordoba, Spain, at the summlt of Its great period of Islamic civilisation. He was an eminent Maliki scholar who specialised in fiqh and Hadith. The breadth and depth of his scholarship are evident in his writings. The most famous of then is his twenty-volume tasfir al Jami’ li-ahkam al-Qar’an,

Imam al-Qirtubi was a man of great modesty who disdained worldly honours and throughout his life wore the simple gown and cap of the ordinary Muslin. He traveled from Spain to the East and settled in Munya Abi’l-Khusavb. in Upper Egypt. where he died in 671H/ 1273

The Resurrection

Islamic Propagation Office in Rabwah | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 47 | Size: 1 MB

The Resurrection: A description of Death, the Life of the Grave, and the Day of Judgment.

Preface:

We all believe that our life has an end, and nothing is eternal except Allah (SWT):

“Whatsoever is on it (the Earth) will perish. * And the Face of your Lord, full of majesty and Honour, will remain forever”

[Surah Ar- Rahman (55):26-27]

It is better for all of us to ponder deeply about our future and about our eternal life which is everlasting. We are expected to devote some time in this life to ponder what will occur in the life to come.

The Day of Judgment is the day which all creation will meet fully and fairly, the reward for how they conducted themselves in this life. It is a day which is different from all other days. It will come, sooner or later.  But some questions must be raised: Are we fully prepared and aware of this day? What are its signs and horrors? When will it come? What will it look like?

Sheikh Muhammad bin ‘Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, gave a sermon describing the sings horrors of such day.

May Allah (SWT) save us and make us steadfast on the right path until the Day of Judgment. [Ameen]

The Signs Before The Day Of Judgement

Ibn Kathir | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 70 | Size: 1.5 MB
This book is an authoritative source on a matter of central importance to everyone: the events of Akhir al-zaman the final period of this world’s history The work is by Ibn Kathir. an eminent Muslim scholar and is based entirely Upon authentic texts. The many Ahadith or Traditions. The Blessed Prophet Muhammad (S) described the condition in which people would live in those times. Some of the developments foretold by the Prophet (S) have already come to pass such as the construction of high-rise buildings in the Middle East. also the frequent break up of family ties and the almost universal presence of usury.

Numerous Ahadith of the Prophet(S) describe such matters as the Dajjal or Antichrist and other temptations and disasters to which mankind will be subjected to as the disintegration of the natural order of things accelerates. The Last Days are also marked by supernatural apparitions which will manifest on an awesome scale the power of Allah Almigilty. For Muslims there can be no more urgent or momentous questions to confront than these. For non Muslims seeking knowledge about the Islamic perspective. This book presents material of vital importance in a clear English translation.

The author of this book was one of the leading scholars of the 8th century of Islam (the 14th of the Christian era). Born in Busra. Syria. around the turn of that century. Ismail Abu’l-Fadl Umar Ibn Kathir was educated chiefly in Damascus. initially specializing in the study of Hadith. He was strongly influenced by the famous theologian Ibn Taymiyyah In middle age Ibn Kathir himself achieved prominence as a highly versatile scholar. He produced a commentary on the Holy Qur an as well as several noteworthy Volumes in the field of Hadlth and jurispudence. But Ibn Kathir who died at Damascus in 774/1373 was also a historian. His treatise of the history of Islam front which this book is in your hands is an excerpt, extends to fourteen volumes in the printed edition. He also wrote al-Bidayah wa’l-nihayah meaning “The Beginning and the End” indicating that the author Chronicles not only the events of the past but also on the authority of the Prophet (S) - those of the Last Days as well.

Book of The End

Like everything, the present universe will also come to an end, and it is a part of our faith to believe in the Last Day. The signs of the Day of Judgment have been foretold by our Prophet (S). Ibn Kathir has collected all the prophesies of the Prophet (S) in his book Al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah. In this volume, we have presented from them the signs of the Hour and the events that are yet to take place, although mentioning very few examples of those prophesies that have already been realized.
